...LOST Wins Brand Of The Year?

lost-brandofyear.jpg

Just in case you didn't know ...LOST has won Brand of the Year, at least according to them. If they still had Carlson they'd probably be brand of the decade.

Speaking of ...LOST I cruised over to Wardo's house the other day and did sick little interview with him, I'm going to call it Moving ForWARD, because that's what he's been doing. So if you've been wonder "Where's Wardo" he'll be in my blog in the next day or so.

Oh yeah, here's what ...LOST had to say about awarding themselves "Brand of the Year"

Just when we got really tired of sitting around at these "industry" banquets listening to the loud roar of company owners patting each other on the back, SITA - the other leading action sports industry association with a completely different voting panel, gave Lost its prestigious "Brand Of The Year" title. But the awards did not stop there...
We won breakthrough brand of the year even though we've been around for over 10 years (hey if SIMA can include established companies I guess SITA can too)
We won best women's wetsuit/bikini/watch - which was actually quite a surprise given that we haven't even released our wetsuits or watches yet! (once again if SIMA can do it so can SITA). Surf Team of the Year (non - WCT): LOST.
Marketing Director of the Year? Divel.
Breakthrough Surf Team Manager? Simmons.
Surf Trunk Designer of the Year? Jim Zapala.
Surfboard Brand of the Year? Lost.

Here are some categories they should have next year in the ratail arena and who should win:
Best jacuzzi, keggerator and hottest female employees in a surf shop? Catalyst Mel beach.
Best Glass Shop in back of a surf shop? Catalyst San Clemente.
(just kidding - this was totally self serving shameless plug for the writer)

THIS from a disgruntled emailer to the Lost website trying to take a stab at the credibility of SITA:
S urfers who try too hard
I n this day and age and feel
T hat we should really just
A ll not take ourselves too seriously.
We'll just take this as a sign of jealousy and therefore a complement.

P.S. Special thanks to a warehouse soccer team for use of their trophy.
